D

eep in the Auvergne, close to where the Haute-Loire, Lozère and Cantal departments converge, Pascale and Serge welcome you to their charming three-bedroom bed and breakfast. Between pastures and forests, in the mysterious land of the fabled Beast of Gévaudan, crossed by the pilgrims’ Way of St. James – now the GR 65 beloved of hikers – we have renovated this authentic, characterful rural farm and transformed it into a bed and breakfast that blends the timeless charm of old stone with elegance and every modern comfort.

Our Auvergne bed and breakfast

Perhaps you’re dreaming of peace and quiet, getting away from it all in an undisturbed part of the Haute-Loire, between the mountains and the Gorges of the Haut-Allier? Or maybe you’d like to enjoy a romantic weekend for two in a charming bed and breakfast, in the heart of the Auvergne, complete with an outdoor hot tub and perhaps some treatments from a beauty therapist? Teel us what you’d like and we’ll create the perfect relaxing break for you.

You’re in search of sportier times? You’re hiking the GR65 Way of St James? For a restful overnight stay, we can offer you transfers to and from Saugues.

If you’d like to go walking or mountain-biking in the Haute-Loire, or to test your fishing talents in one of the numerous rivers and streams in the Haut-Allier, we have maps, booklets and information to help you, plus a room where you can store your hiking and fishing gear.

We are also reputed amongst the “bikers welcome” accommodation in the Auvergne (www.auvergne-motorbike.com/): we provide bike covers, a road-book with 21 routes, and will be delighted to show you some of the best and most typical roads to ride in our area.

Thanks to our core values such as a warm welcome and our environmentally-friendly attitudes, our bed and breakfast was awarded Nattitude status in 2015.

The magnificent lands of the Auvergne, selected by Lonely Planet in 2016 as the world’s number six region to visit, offer a host of contrasts to tempt you, from a visit to the Our Lady of the Annunciation Cathedral of Le Puy-en-Velay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998 and departure point for the Way of St James; to climbing the steps to St Michel d’Aiguilhe church, set atop a rocky spur, or exploring the Château of the Marquis de Lafayette in Chavaniac.
